SDCC REVIEW

Here are clips/trailers/videos that were the most significant to me. As we know San Diego Comicon is the time of the year when most huge announcements of geekdom occur. There were surprises, long awaited previews, and some misfires. Let's start off with the first announcement on Thursday, July 19, 2018.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Will Be Revived

This was the biggest surprise since Star Wars Resistance was already announced as the main animated series and the majority thought that all announcements regarding Star Wars would occur during Star Wars Celebration in 2019. NOPE. During the Clone Wars anniversary panel Dave Filoni, once again, got us and revealed this trailer. I Tweeted this after the finale of Rebels, but I'll say it again:

"Impressive, Dave Filoni. Most impressive."

Titans

"F*ck Batman", possibly killing people, and sticking to the dark theme of the DCU. I think I will pass. If there is anything that will make me subscribe to DC's streaming service, it's going to be THIS...

Young Justice: Outsiders

FINALLY!!! Cartoon Network cancelled this show and I have been wanting it to come back ever since. Apparently I wasn't the only one who missed this show. Other fans clamored, petitioned, complained, and did other forms of fanboy/girl whining and it's actually coming back. Was Warner Bros really listening to the fans? I don't care. Bring on more seasons!

Doctor Who: Series 11

I'm just ready for another season of The Doctor. I'm also excited to see what the new regenerated version will do after the last episode left her with no T.A.R.D.I.S. and plummeting from the sky.

Toynk even had the new Sonic Screwdriver! They never change them up until after a few seasons! This is very reminiscent to a dog's "pink lipstick".

Dragon Ball Super: Broly Movie

BOO-ro-ree. SAY IT AGAIN! BOO-ro-ree. I still hate dubbed anime, but since it'll be coming to theaters, I might have to watch it in one. Am I going to see this movie? "Brolly." DBZ, theater, and popcorn? C'mon!

TMNT Figures in a VHS Case

I would totally get this.... If I didn't have to wait in line. Good find, IGN.

Star Trek: Discover - Season 2

I would very much like to watch this show. Too bad it's on a streaming service where this is all that it has going for it.

Season 7 Preview for Voltron

Just keep making these, guys. They have gone above and beyond filling in the plot holes of the original series.

Low Note: James Gunn

Gunn's friends and family spoke up to defend him and a petition was also started to re-hire him. There are all sorts of unfortunate suckage all over this.

The First Aquaman Trailer

Saturday is the big day for the big announcements. Aquaman was no exception. It actually looks good! I'm going to give this movie a chance.

Official Trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters

I'm buying this one too! The first Godzilla, GOOD. King Kong: Skull Island, GOOD. This one can't disappoint. Eleven seems to have some psychic powers in this movie which might allow her to communicate to the kaiju. Will her nose bleed?

Mehhh... I don't really know about this one. If there isn't anything out when this is released, I might give it a shot. Sell.

This movies comes out soon which means I have to catch up by watching Split.

Disenchantment: Official Trailer

Matt Groening? Okay, BUY. They've been teasing this for awhile. I like the animation. I'm curious to see what kind of humor and tone it will take. Simpsons and Futurama had way different approaches to their laughs. We'll have to see.
