chicagoGRUB: the PIZZAPUFF

“So it’s like a big pizza roll?” No, man. It’s a pizza puff. I thought everyone had these around the country, but apparently it’s just indigenous to Chicago. It’s a deep fried pizza with a puff pastry wrapping. Didn’t like the lunch they were serving in the cafeteria during high school? A plate of one of these with fries saves the day. All the hot dog/hamburger joints have them. They are standard at all grease stands in Chicago – you can’t mess them up.
